I needed to write. I've done nothing but think and plan and dream about this story for years now. After a harsh loss, I realized that I could still work on this on my own. Maybe others can share in the joy I've found in this world.
I'm confused. How do I start?
The first section of the first book of Always is here. There are links at the end of each section to take you onward. Other posts besides the book are not listed, but you're free to browse through those as well, but they are not directly related to the story.
You have typos.
I'm not surprised. I write this as I go along. I don't have a stash of 300+ pages that I just section off and post. I'm writing each day and then posting. I try my best to catch typos and errors but sometimes they slip by. Feel free to correct me and I'll go back and fix them.
Why are you so slow at getting posts up?
At first I was very consistent with getting several hours a day. But currently I'm
SO SLOOOOOW
Honestly, the best way to motivate me is to post comments. I grow complacent when I think it's just me reading.
Is the story done?
I know the general outline of all of the stories. The entire first 'book' is mapped out and outlined, but not fully written.
Do you have a map of the continent?
Working on it. I've yet to get a finalized version, but, again, I have a general idea and I keep playing with new ideas based on where characters will be and where I want them.
Do you have character bios/country history bits?
Working on it. Will post when I can~
Your sections are difficult to read.
I've been bouncing back and forth between having longer sections (like chapter length) for each post,
You realize that no one wants to read this other than you, right?
I don't care. I only ever started this so I had a place for myself. If others want to read, that's fine. I hope others enjoy it.
What the hell are the quotes at the beginning of each chapter?
(:
Can I email you?
I prefer if you would just post a comment.
Why do some chapters have art and others don't?
I'm lazy and art takes me a ridiculously long time.
You should know I'm absolutely inspired. Writing stories and drawing were things I used to do a lot in high school but stopped. Thank you for reminding me why I did them to begin with.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, thank you for that! I wasn't really expecting anything. I was in a pretty bad dip there for a bit, but this helped a lot.
DeleteWhy did you stop writing? You should keep up with it. You never know where it may lead you.
Honestly, I see this whole blog as my first draft, or part of it. I have another version, that is much more heavily edited, on Wattpad. It's also significantly easier to read there as well.
